Build Your Own Salmon Bowl

Is dinner losing steam at your house too? I really feel like it is always almost dinner time, or time to start dinner, or time to answer, "how long until dinner?" or even time to decide what to have for dinner. As the one who cooks all the meals, I am the lucky one that gets to decide what we are having. So, let me introduce you to one of my favorite dinners to make. It is a take on building your own bowls. Just add your favorite ingredients and you have an awesome and easy meal.

Here is what you need for the bowl in the photo above:

  1. Your Favorite Piece of Salmon ( I bake mine at 400 degrees with salt and pepper and some EVOO and lemon juice for 15 mins)

  2. 1 Cup of Greens ( I steam 1 cup of Kale per person)

  3. Nori sliced in strips

  4. Cucumbers sliced

  5. 1/4 Cup Rice ( I go between white, brown and black depending on what we have)

  6. 1/2 Avocado

  7. Coconut Aminos to taste ( I use this instead of soy sauce)

  8. Chili Oil to taste ( can definitely omit if you do not like spicy)

Arrange the bowl with the rice on the bottom, the place all the ingredients around your bowl or plate. Add the sauce at the end and dig in. You can always add red cabbage, spinach, crispy chickpeas, sesame seeds, kimchi, etc. Get creative. My fam loves to create their own and make each a little different.

I hope you give it a try! XO, Jules
